Brace Yourself..

I'm having some serious bracelet cravings this month. I would like to purchase all of these and stack them.
Colorful Cranium Wrap bracelet (love the pink.) $20 from Bauble Bar

Helloberry Lattice Double Wrap Bracelet (the gold one would go perfect with everything.) $19 Helloberry on Etsy.

Shourouk is a French jewelry line I recently discovered. It's all really colorful and sparkly, just the way I like it! This bracelet is my favorite, the Baraka Rococo Emerald, 200 Euros on Shourouk.com

Obviously this one is my favorite. It's timeless and it's Tiffany. Enough said. Elsa Peretti Diamonds by the Yard Bracelet in 18k Rose Gold, $915 at Tiffany&Co.

Quick Trip to Vancouver, B.C.

Recently I visited Vancouver, B.C. for the first time. It was nice to take a quick little trip out the country and it was our dog's first international expedition! The city was very pet friendly, which I love.
I wish I could have done more and seen more....but here are a few highlights!

Earl is a little nervous to go through customs...
We stayed at L'Hermitage and I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. They were so friendly and it was beautiful. This was our room, it included a nice little balcony and a cozy fireplace.
The view wasn't great, but I loved the little patio.
Our room was set up just for Earl! He had a goody bag full of treats waiting for him, plus these cute dog dishes, and a comfy bed.
The Vancouver Art Gallery. Those lions are very impressive.
Earl checking out the fountain outside the Vancouver Art Gallery. He was hoping to catch some ducks.
We had an amazing dinner at The Cactus Club Cafe and this blackberry, lemon, spearmint, and vodka drink was delicious! It's called the Cohlba.
The Candy Aisle right by our hotel had a Slushie machine inside!
After-dinner drinks at The Top of Vancouver restaurant
The next morning we went to Granville Island which is a huge market on the water. There was so much food to look at. I was in heaven.
Delicious wraps. I had the salmon/puff pastry one. Incredible.
As you can see, I'm a bit of a candy connoisseur so I was very excited to take a bag of these Sour Big Foot home.

I Dream of Barcelona

My boyfriend was in Barcelona this past week and he sent me some amazing pictures. Barcelona is definitely on my bucket list. Yes, I'm really into food.

 Cookies. All cookies.

I LOVE candy. Gummies are my addiction. Obviously this is my dream. These were at the market, La Boqueria.

Fresh squeezed juices at La Boqueria. The kiwi looks delish.
 Can't wait to try these!

Interior of Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia. The outside towers are topped with fruits and veggies. So unique.

Think I have enough candy pictures? These are the more "local" candies at La Boqueria.

The exterior of La Sagrada Familia. It looks so insanely beautiful.

 Barcelona.

Hopefully I will have my own pictures to post of Barcelona soon!

I'm loving Jennifer Lawrence's carefree and pretty outfit. I haven't been able to find out who makes it, but I would love to get my hands on that skirt.

Every Girl Should Know How to Style the Perfect Top Knot

Photos: Jamie Beck

I was having such a hard time perfecting the top knot look that is so popular right now. These photos made it so much easier! I saw this post on of my favorite blogs, A Cup of Jo. She recommends u-shaped bobby pins, which I'm struggling to find anywhere but online. I also think a vintage hair comb would be really pretty with this hair style. Click here for the full tutorial and photos.

Let's take a look at some of the some more glam top-knot looks:

Jessica Alba looking pretty and casual.

Brigitte Bardot in a kind of French twist/ top knot. I think this look could achieved by teasing beforehand and then modifying the steps above, and not putting all the hair up.

Cute Coffee Pot

I am kind of in love with this hot pink Cuisinart coffee pot. Yes, it's slightly tacky but all the black and stainless steel kitchen appliances bore me. I think getting up at 6am might be a little easier with a dose of pink!
Available at Amazon.com in multiple colors: Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central 12-cup Programmable Coffee Maker, $89.95

Trail of 100 Giants

I have been so busy lately with moving and traveling, I haven't had time to post! More to come this week.
In the meantime, I visited the Trail of 100 Giants in Northern California. The trees are amazing, they almost don't look real. That's me below.

Food for Thought

 Photo: skinnytaste.com

One of my favorite websites is Skinnytaste.com. Gina features many creative and healthy food options. I have made several of her recipes, and these chewy, banana nut, oatmeal cookies are out of this world. What's even more amazing is that there are 175 calories in two cookies. I recommend freezing these after you make them if you live alone, otherwise you will eat them all. I'm not kidding, they are that good.

Overnight, refrigerated oatmeal was all the rage on Pinterest the other day so I thought I would try it. I got the recipe from theyummylife.com and I had the blueberry one this morning. It turned out so good! It's really filling and easy to make. I just made a few tweaks to mine, the original called for maple syrup and I replaced that with honey. I also used almond milk instead of regular milk. I'm definitely going to be making more of these because they are a great a breakfast to just grab and go.

A Weekend in Vegas

This past weekend I went to Vegas with some family. It was a completely different experience than going with a group girlfriends. I went a couple shows and had some amazing meals. I've compiled a few of the highlights:

 The Buffet at The Wynn

The Buffet at The Wynn just might be the best breakfast in Las Vegas. Not only is it visually stunning (see above) but it has every type of food you could ever want. There is everything from a build-your-own omelette station to sushi and stir-fried vegetables. Of course, my personal favorite was the insane dessert bar. Their collection of desserts is quite impressive, it's like walking into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory.

My favorite desserts at The Buffet at The Wynn. The cream puff was the best of my life, hands down.

Topshop at Fashion Show Mall

There is nothing like a shopping to burn off breakfast. Fashion Show mall has my favorite store of all time, Topshop. This is the only Topshop on the west coast and only the third in the United States! I was so excited to finally be able to shop in-store instead of online. The only problem is, the store is so packed full of merchandise I was overwhelmed.

Cirque Du Soleil's Love at The Mirage

I saw my first Cirque Du Soleil show, Love. As a huge Beatles fan, I had high expectations. I was not disappointed. The show featured dance and trapeze to all the greatest Beatles songs. The set design and costumes were flawless. This is a must-see!!

The Delmonico Steakhouse at The Venetian

We had dinner at Emeril Laggasse's Delmonico Steakhouse. I don't eat steak, but my grandma and aunt were very impressed with their steak. I had the Alaskan Halibut and it was excellent. Their dinner rolls were great, as well. My only regret is we didn't have dessert, I read on Yelp their banana cream pie is one the best dishes.

The Roof-top pool at The Cosmopolitan

I finished the night at what Las Vegas locals call the best hotel in town, The Cosmopolitan. It was the 9 year anniversary party of Vegas magazine, and Kelly Rowland was there to perform (she is on the cover of the new issue.) Despite the wind, it was a great party and seeing the pool made me wish I had come here during the day. It has two large waterfall contraptions, "floating cabanas," and lots of palm trees.

Hope you enjoyed my mini-tour of Las Vegas!

Best Dressed at the CMAs

 Photo: People.com
Kristen Bell hosted the Country Music Awards last week and she looked beyond gorgeous in this Reem Acra gown.

Jessica Simpson's Best Photo Shoot

I have to admit, I'm a huge Jessica Simpson fan. The girl is running a billion dollar empire and I can't get enough of her shoes. She gets a lot of heat for her weight, but I think she always looks gorgeous.

These pictures are from one of my favorite photoshoots of all time in Allure magazine. They are several years old, I believe they were published during the height of "Newlyweds." I stumbled across them the other day and had to share.

Summer Trends

A few days ago I went perusing around one Seattle's best shopping centers, University Village. I like to go there, grab a Starbucks, and wander around looking at all the items I don't need (but really want.) I snapped a few photos of some trends I noticed.
Friendship bracelets are starting to pop up everywhere. Many of them have beads or rhinestones and come in an array of neon colors. I took this photo at Anthropologie, but I'm seeing them at many stores including Madewell and Nordstrom.
Beads are one of my favorite accessories, and for the longest time it was really hard to find them anywhere. They look best when the beads are glass and layered in multiples.
This wall of beads is at H&M and while they are plastic, they are only $3.95. Can't beat that.
These earrings are here mainly because I am totally in love with them. However, they do incorporate two big summer trends, turquoise and beads. They caught my eye mostly because they are so unique and I haven't seen many earrings in this shape.
Again from Anthropologie, these hanging lanterns are so pretty. Imagine these hanging in the trees at a Summer garden party or BBQ! The only thing is knowing me, I would catch something on fire.
